Smita Patil Public School

Smita Patil Public School is labour of love borne out of a social and patriotic vision of Hon. Shri Shivajirao G. Patil, a socialist at heart, a tall Cooperative leader & MP, and Smt. Vidyatai Patil, Socialworker & reformist, in the memory of their beloved daughter late Ms. Smita Patil, a pre-eminent actor. A small beginning but a giant leap was made on 15August 1996 with thirteen students, three teachers, three classrooms and there was no looking back. It was nurtured by Shri. V. K. Aba Patil, who started as a principal, under the guidance of Sh S.G.Patil, till his demise. Parents kept posing increasing faith in our sincere commitment and efforts and with time the school grew leaps and bounds with a rapidly growing recognition and presence in the region as also in the education area. To meet the demands of increasing strength of students and expectations of parents, the school expanded its infrastructure to a 24acre campus in idyllic surroundings with all requisite facilities for the children to blossom holistically with ever-expanding exposure and awareness.

The school serves as a home away from home for 750 students, 40 academic teachers, 8 Technical teachers & the supporting administrative & other staff forming the SPPS family. We look forward to adding senior secondary classes in next education session and are preparing enthusiastically to implement the game changing New Education Policy 2020 soon.
